'Reloved' - How to: Revamp Old Furniture.
So today is gorgeous and sunny and I've decided to 'revamp' some shelves I bought yesterday for £3 at a charity shop.I'll update some photos of my progress later. Wish me luck :)Update: 3/7/10Here are the pictures as promised...

So the first step was to sand off all the horrible veneer and rough up the surface so the paint would stick to the wood and not chip off in a few days.
Next I gave the shelves a white wash so when I applied my second coat of colour the dark wood wouldn't show through the paint.
The rest of the pictures are how the shelves now look in my room! Its hard to see because of the bad lighting, but the shelves are actually a cream/peach colour and the spindles are white. These shelves will be in my Etsy shop tomorrow (maybe) :)
