Pat Christiano - Mixed Media Artist based in New York City

During my visit to the States last Summer I purchased a lovely print from Pat Christiano, an artist based in New York City. I was captivated by his unusual technique for transferring photographs on to canvas and card.I've been looking online for more images of work since I came back, and today I finally found his website - www.artistkunst.de/patHere are a few images of his work - Enjoy!

When I asked him about the techniques he uses he told me he transfers an image on to canvas or card (presumably using a solvent by the looks of it) which he then adds ink and water to, to create a dreamy, painterly quality to the image.Beautiful!
