Martin Parr, 'The Last Resort'
Quite a contrast to the work I usually look at, but I'm currently writing an essay on Postmodernism and looking at Martin Parr's work for consideration. The series of photographs used in his photo book - 'The Last Resort' where taken at New Brighton Beach. A place close to where I grew up, which is why I am interested in the style he uses and how this is used (it can be argued) to harshly criticize this working class 'resort'.
