There is a sense of calm that overwhelms you upon being in such close proximity to a significant mass of peaceful water such as Lake Garda. For me, it’s a sense of awe that supersedes any response I may have to man made marvels, to art or music or architecture, something that aids the sense of one’s place within the grander scheme of things.
